this image rearrangement is taken from a series of           internet pictures that depict the conditions in           which battery hens are grown to be used in fast food           products.  the unsanitary ways in which they are           raised not only eclipses the ethics of food production           but provides a platform for the animal abuse           omnipresent in the fast food industry.  to prevent           them from "attacking" the workers beaks are           sawn as they are taken from their cages (as depicted           in the original sketch on the left)

the three elements in this work are: The Yucca                     Mountains, a range in the Sierras 90 miles                    north of Reno (proclaimed native reservation                     land); the indigenous Yucca flower which is                     listed as an ingredient in many large name skin                     products; and a diagram showing the cross                     section of a nuclear accelerator alongside the                     products of molecular cleaving that are used in                     nuclear  fuel rods.  It is projected that by 2014                     there are to be over 70,000 metric tons                     of nuclear waste buried in the Yuccas, which                     lie directly over an active fault line
