The selection of works on this website are painted experimentations in composition and design.  My paintings develop through an accumulation of sensations from multiple interactions with the work; the abstracted elements are everchanging as layers are built up by reorientation of the picture plane and mediation of depth.  My interests explore deconstruction, rearrangement and the impermanence of form

Below documents the progression of layers in one of my multi-panel paintings:

This compositional design is based from the Fibonacci Sequence, a natural mathematical progression of numbers that propigate by the addition of prior digits - exhibited dimensionally through each panel

5:8:13:21:34:55:89

(squared dimensions of panels - in inches)

Also known as the Golden Rectangle (a ratio of aesthetics) the Sequence can be found in various natural patterns i.e. honeycomb, pineapple, pinecones, flowers, shells, etc
